OPI1268S High Voltage High-Speed Optical Isolator

Optical isolator capable of high voltage (20kV) and high-speed data transmission.

The OPI1268S is a high-voltage isolator with a digital output capable of high-speed data transmission. The input of the OPI1268 uses a high-efficiency GaAlAs LED with a peak wavelength of 850nm, which is optically coupled to the output optical IC. The photologic device within the output IC detects the incoming modulated light and converts it into a proportional current. This current is supplied to a high-gain linear amplifier that is compensated for temperature, current, and voltage. As a result, a very stable digital output in an open collector inverter configuration is achieved. This device provides DC and AC voltage isolation between the input and output circuits while maintaining the integrity of TTL signals.
