[Proposal Example] Rivets for Wiper Blades
Approximately 30% reduction in unit costs! Introducing a case of cost reduction by consolidating two processes into one.
We would like to introduce a case where we proposed "rivets for wiper blades" for the front wiper section of automobiles. In this case, the challenge was that forming the flange at both ends in two processes was costly, and that the difficulty of forging with stainless steel was high. Our company reduced the processes and costs by simultaneously forming the flange shapes at both ends in one process. Additionally, we equipped the product with a resin stop function by simultaneously forming protrusions on the back side of the flange. [Case Summary (Partial)] ■ Challenges - High cost due to two-process flange formation at both ends, high difficulty of forging with stainless steel ■ Results - Formed only through cold forging - Capable of forming high-difficulty products with stainless steel in one process, resulting in lower costs *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
