Sansin Manufacturing Co., Ltd. received certification from Aichi Prefecture for the FY 2015 Leading and Effective Emission Reduction Facility Development Project and carried out upgrades to the "Resource Recovery Center," starting a resource recovery system business with new equipment in April 2016. The "Resource Recovery Center" was established in 1976 with the aim of recovering and reusing metals contained in wastewater from the plating process. It collects and regenerates over 6,000 canister-type ion exchange machines annually for customers nationwide, with a cumulative regeneration record exceeding 250,000 units by the end of March 2016. The collection and regeneration of ion exchange resins use a significant amount of water and chemicals, resulting in the generation of multiple heavy metal-containing waste sludges. Based on the extensive know-how accumulated from years of operating the Resource Recovery Center system, the new equipment has significantly advanced standardization and automation, achieving reductions in regeneration agents through regeneration operations suitable for ion exchange resins used in various applications, as well as resource recovery and waste sludge reduction through the establishment of optimal separation procedures from regenerated waste liquids.
