We would like to introduce our company's "separation and recovery of mixed acids." Etching processes using mixed acids are widely used in the manufacturing of liquid crystals and semiconductors, and at the same time, used mixed acid wastewater has been generated. Traditionally, a portion of this mixed acid wastewater has been used for pickling in steel mills; however, the majority has not been effectively utilized, as it has been neutralized with large amounts of alkali and then incinerated. In response, our company established a technology to separate mixed acid wastewater and recover it as a single acid, in collaboration with Kansai University. The recovered acid can now be effectively utilized as a resource through reuse and recycling.
