In the dyeing of cellulose fibers with Kayaseron React dyes, the uniformity of dyeing and fixation rate are greatly influenced by the pH of the dye bath. When the pH becomes slightly acidic, the uniformity of dyeing improves, but there is a tendency for the fixation rate to decrease. Conversely, when the pH becomes slightly alkaline, the migration of the dye decreases, leading to the disadvantage of uneven dyeing. "TL-7" shows an appropriate pH value as a pH adjuster for such dye baths, reducing the causes of dyeing troubles and enabling good dyeing results.
