The proven performance of Eporaum C has been maintained while achieving a compact and lightweight design. The detector is equipped with three electrodes, which measure the capacitance of the electrode section due to the high frequency generated by the detection circuit. When oil flows onto the water surface, the electrodes come into contact with the water through the oil, resulting in a significant change in capacitance. This change is detected and amplified by the detection circuit and output as a contact signal by the converter.
