Case Study on the Corrosion Prevention Effect of Chilled Water in Air Conditioning Systems [Magnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 6]
Installed on the supply header outlet side! An example showing a dark brown color compared to the untreated side.
There are two comparison devices for the internal pipe investigation; one utilizes a polarizer, while the other does not. A comparative inspection was conducted under conditions without the use of a polarizer. One unit of the polarizer model "PI-50F (2”)" was installed on the discharge side of the supply header for cold and hot water, with partial circulation treatment performed using the polarizer. After treatment, clearly old scale and rust dissolved and flowed out, forming a magnetite anti-corrosion coating inside the pipe, which appeared smoother and exhibited a dark brown color compared to the untreated side. The untreated side showed signs of corrosion and scale adhesion. [Case Study] - Installation Date: December 1985 - Purpose: Anti-corrosion and anti-scaling for cold and hot water equipment - Installation Method: The polarizer model "PI-50F (50A)" was installed on the outlet side of the supply header - Treated Water Volume: More than 5% of the total circulating water volume was treated *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
basic information
**Effects** - There are two comparison facilities for in-pipe investigations; one utilizes a polarizer, while the other conducts comparative tests without it. - Clearly, old scale and rust dissolved and flowed out, forming a corrosion-resistant magnetite coating inside the pipe, which appeared smooth and dark brown compared to the untreated side. - On the other hand, the untreated side without the polarizer experienced corrosion and scale adhesion. - Water Quality Testing - In old buildings, the rust-colored cold and warm water, which had advanced corrosion, transformed into highly transparent cold and warm water one week after polarizer treatment or after 310 days. - In the sample water, a precipitate of black corrosion-resistant magnetite (Fe3O4) powder was observed. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
