Case Study on Scale Prevention in Closed Cooling Towers [Magnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 6]
We will introduce a case where we successfully confirmed the absence of scale attachment and saved on water costs!
On October 24, 2000, a polar type "PI-25CF" was installed on the spray pipe of the cooling tower using a partial bypass method, and automatic blow management was conducted without chemicals at the conventional electrical conductivity of 60 ms/m. On November 22, 2000, one month after using the polar system, a check was conducted for scale deposition in the heat exchange section of the cooling tower, and no scale was found, confirming the effectiveness of the polar system. At 3.5 months of using the polar system, an extreme experiment was conducted by further concentrating the electrical conductivity to 120 ms/m to save on water supply, and it was confirmed that there was no scale deposition, successfully reducing water costs. [Challenges and Measures] ■ The supply water (well water) had a pH of 6.7, electrical conductivity of 30 ms/m, silica 56 mg/L, M-alkalinity 76 mg/L, and calcium 31 mg/L, making water quality management very challenging. ■ Installation of model "PI-25CF" - A three-point set including a magnetic strainer, polar main unit, and flow meter. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
