The "SCD43" is a CO2 sensor that achieves class-leading accuracy specifications of ±(30pm + 3% mv). It is also compatible with strict building standards such as ANSI/ASHRAE 62.1-2022 Draft Addendum d, California Title 24, RESET grade B, and the WELL Building Standard (WELL v2). Exhibited at Smart Sensing 2025.
We exhibited at the exhibition "Smart Sensing 2025," held at Tokyo Big Sight from June 18 to 20, 2025. A diverse range of technologies and products that expand future possibilities, from sensor technology to AI and data utilization services, were showcased, and many visitors came to our booth. This time, along with our environmental sensors, flow sensors, and automotive modules, we also displayed six types of demonstrations. SEN66: Indoor Air Quality Combo Sensor Module SGD43S: Refrigerant Detection Sensor SCD43 / STCC4: CO₂ Sensor SLF3S: Liquid Flow Sensor SAAF: Fogging Detection and Automatic Defrost Sensor Visitors had the valuable opportunity to see products that cater to a wide range of applications, including air quality measurement, gas leak detection, visualization of factory safety management, and flow measurement and control in the semiconductor, medical, and research fields, while experiencing the sensors' fast response and high precision. Sensirion announces the upgraded photoacoustic CO2 sensor "SCD43": Building reliable accuracy and necessary standard compatibility.
Sensirion plans to launch its latest photoacoustic NDIR CO2 sensor, the "SCD43." It will be available through Sensirion's channel partners in the summer of 2025. This compact and high-precision CO2 sensor is an improved version of our proven SCD4x photoacoustic NDIR CO2 platform, designed to meet stringent building code requirements. Product Overview: - Compatibility with the comprehensive building standard ASHRAE 62.1 Draft Addendum d - Industry-leading measurement accuracy (±30ppm + 3% m.v.) - Drop-in upgrade for SCD4x sensors - Compact form factor of 10.1 x 10.1 x 6.5 mm - SMD solderable CO2 concentration is a critical indicator for assessing indoor air quality (IAQ), and elevated levels can negatively impact cognitive function and health. Air quality monitors and devices utilizing the SCD4x contribute to the proper management of CO₂ levels, helping to maintain a healthy and productive indoor environment.
