The "Edge 48-929" is a glove designed for workers handling small to medium-sized parts coated with oil or lubricants. The palm area is textured with nitrile, allowing for a secure grip on oily parts and tools. In April 2024, the Occupational Safety and Health Act was amended to mandate the use of protective gear that prevents harmful substances from coming into contact with the skin. Chemical protective gloves are required to have permeability resistance appropriate to the substances being used.
