NKT Photonics is a manufacturer formed by the merger of a company with technology in narrow linewidth fiber lasers and a company with technology in photonic crystal fibers (PCF). Narrow linewidth fiber lasers have a proven track record in applications such as oil pipeline monitoring and gas sensing. The company has a deep understanding of the characteristics of PCF and the nonlinear optical effects occurring within PCF, allowing it to achieve performance that cannot be matched by other companies.
