Introducing a case study of modifications to Daikin hydraulic units.
We received an inquiry from a certain machinery manufacturer regarding the consideration of modifying a hydraulic unit that has been in use by an end user for over 10 years. They are currently using a Daikin rotary pump (integrated motor and pump) and are facing significant issues with oil temperature rise. Initially, they were considering adding an external Daikin oil cooler (AKZ series) and replacing the motor and pump. However, after taking into account the installation space, the effort required for modification, power consumption, and budget, we proposed replacing it with a Daikin super unit (SUT series). The customer was convinced, leading to the adoption of an energy-efficient hydraulic unit.
