[Case Study] Labor-saving in Manual Steam Well Valve Operation and Reduction of Scale Adhesion
Reduction of opening and closing time, and labor saving! Introducing case studies of Uni-Handlers.
We would like to introduce a case study of the valve actuator "Uni-Handler" that we handle. At a certain power and geothermal power plant, the opening and closing of the steam well valve (manual type) was extremely difficult due to scale buildup inside the piping, and while it was performed during regular maintenance, it required significant labor. By introducing the "Uni-Handler" in the modified mechanism, we were able to reduce the opening and closing time and achieve a reduction in labor. Additionally, the conventional drive body, flexible shaft, and attachments were transported separately, but by newly fabricating a transport cart for the equipment, simultaneous transportation of the necessary equipment became possible, improving work efficiency. [Case Study] ■ Delivery Location: Power and Geothermal Power Plant ■ Delivered Product: Uni-Handler ■ Issues Before Modification: - The opening and closing operations took a considerable amount of time, leading to a decrease in opening and closing frequency and promoting scale growth. ■ Benefits After Modification: - Reduction in opening and closing time (reduction in labor) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
