[Case Study] Drying of sake brewing by-products such as shochu lees (for feed and fertilizer)

Effective utilization as feed and fertilizer! Introducing case studies of disk dryers.

We would like to introduce a case study of the "Disc Dryer" that we handle. At a certain sake brewery, by-products such as shochu lees, whiskey lees, and beer lees were generated during the manufacturing process. These lees were previously disposed of as industrial waste, but with moisture content ranging from 60% to 85%, the cost burden of waste disposal was significant. Therefore, by introducing our unique "Variable Speed Dual-Axis Disc Dryer," we were able to reduce the moisture content to around 10% to 30%, transforming the material into a manageable powdery form, which can be effectively utilized as feed or fertilizer. [Case Study] ■ Delivery Location: Sake Brewery ■ Delivered Product: Disc Dryer ■ Issues Before Change - Lees such as shochu were disposed of as industrial waste - High moisture content of 60% to 85% resulted in significant waste disposal costs ■ Advantages After Change - By reducing moisture to around 10% to 30% and creating a manageable powdery form, effective utilization as feed or fertilizer became possible *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
