"High-speed cutting phosphor bronze" is an alloy made by adding tin, lead, and a small amount of phosphorus to copper. The cutting processability, properties, and applications vary depending on the amounts of tin and lead used. "C5341" is an alloy that contains 3.5% to 5.8% tin and 0.8% to 1.5% lead added to copper, while "C5441" is an alloy that contains 3% to 4.5% tin, 3.5% to 4.5% lead (with stock items being less than 4%), and 1.5% to 4.5% zinc added to copper.
