ZDC Direct Chromate (Improved Corrosion Resistance for Zinc Die Casting)
Features of Silvec's ZDC Direct Chromate
**Features of ZDC Direct Chromate** 1. At Silvec, we utilize three types of treatments: chromating, belscod treatment, and ZT444 treatment. 2. It has corrosion resistance with no white rust formation after 50 hours of JIS neutral salt spray testing and 24 hours of drying. 3. By eliminating the conventional zinc plating process, we can achieve shorter delivery times, stable quality, and cost reduction. 4. The treatment is performed without applying a base plating on zinc die-cast materials, so there is no change in material dimensions. 5. All products comply with the RoHS directive.
basic information
Direct Chromate Treatment for Zinc Die Casting The most commonly used plating process to prevent rust on iron is zinc plating combined with trivalent chromate treatment. Following a similar concept, "ZDC Direct Chromate" was developed to directly treat the surface of zinc die castings with trivalent chromate for rust prevention. ZDC Direct Chromate involves reacting the zinc on the surface of the zinc die casting with chromium nitrate (a trivalent chromium compound) to produce a trivalent chromate film. This chromate treatment offers high rust prevention effectiveness, no dimensional changes, and excellent coating adhesion. Silvec offers three types of treatments, which will be selected based on liquid specifications and matching. [Contact Information] TEL: 048-994-5931 FAX: 048-994-5935 E-mail: info@silvec.co.jp
