Regarding the rust prevention effects of ADC12 and various surface treatments 1. Plating The plating properties of ADC12 are not poor. When plating ADC12, it is common to use copper plating or nickel plating as a base layer. There are many cases where nickel plating is processed directly and used as is, but various types of plating can be selected on top of copper plating or nickel plating according to the application. For example, with a total film thickness of about 25μm, "Aluminum Chrome Plating" can achieve no white rust after 500 hours in the JIS salt spray test, and if a black color is desired, zinc plating plus black chromate may be used.
