Shin-Etsu Industrial acquires Sier (robot system integrator) and makes it a wholly-owned subsidiary.
Shin-Ei Industrial Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture / President: Jun Nagai) has decided to acquire ICI Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo / Representative Director: Takeshi Nabeta), which develops control software and applications for robots, as a wholly-owned subsidiary effective April 1. ICI has a wealth of experience in developing control systems for exterior wall construction support robots for major general contractors, welding robots, remote control of industrial robots, and AGVs. They also develop and sell their own offline teaching software. By acquiring ICI and strengthening our software development capabilities, we will enhance the appeal of our 6-axis force sensor ZYXer and improve our proposal capabilities, allowing us to offer not just the ZYXer alone, but also applications and systems to our customers. We will leverage ICI's excellent control technology by developing and selling systems that integrate not only ZYXer but also our provided Sinto SUPPORT SYSTEM and others. Moving forward, we aim to expand our robot-related business by developing and launching various robot applications equipped with ZYXer into the market.
