For example, inspections in a roll-to-roll state often utilize EasyInspector, while detecting foreign substances on products with printed patterns or processed into masks is a specialty of DeepSky. Processed products have irregularities and overlaps, which can lead to frequent false detections with standard binarization methods. However, deep learning can learn and detect features such as insects, hair, and debris, making it largely unaffected by the variations in product patterns and processing. The configuration consists of a combination of DeepSky, an Intelligent I/O unit, and an air nozzle for discharge. DeepSky continuously inspects products on the conveyor, and when it recognizes a defect, the NG output of the I/O unit is turned ON.
