There was an inquiry about wanting to detect the parts that appear to protrude due to insufficient insertion as differences. This is from a customer in the plastic processing industry. 【Inspection Settings and Results】 Inspection was possible by using the "Comparison with Master Image" feature of EasyInspector. However, since the comparison with the master image detects differences as discrepancies if there are any "differences from the master image," there is a possibility of false detection if there are variations in the insertion quality among good products. Additionally, positioning is relatively strict for inspection purposes. The software called DeepSky, which utilizes deep learning, seems to be more suitable for this inspection. In this case, the software determines pass or fail by training on good and defective products. Compared to conventional procedural inspection software, it is more resilient to variations among good products, so the strict positioning required by EasyInspector may not be necessary, and it can distinguish between good and defective products even from images with subtle differences in insertion quality or the way cables are captured.
