[AI Image Inspection Case] PCB Assembly Inspection
The AI image inspection software checks for "misalignment" of the board's resist and "misalignment of the silk," among other things.
The resist on the substrate is widely used due to its small size and fine details. However, to ensure proper functionality, it is necessary to check for issues such as "misalignment of the resist" and "misalignment of the silk." Electronic component manufacturers have incorporated image processing software to efficiently carry out these inspection tasks. 【Inspection Settings and Results】 Using the "Master Image Comparison" function of EasyInspector's "Color Comparison Inspection," we inspected the resist misalignment (2 locations) and silk misalignment (2 locations). By setting an upper limit for the pass/fail criteria, we configured it to fail if the detected pixel misalignment exceeded the set threshold. We rigorously set the position of the inspection targets and performed misalignment correction, successfully detecting misalignments of less than 1mm. 【Software and Equipment Used】 Software Used: EasyInspector710 Field of View: 850mm x 850mm Minimum Size of Inspection Target: Approximately 3mm x 4mm Number of Inspection Points: 4 locations Camera Resolution: Using the ScanSnap SV600 scanner Current inspections can be performed with the 'EasyInspector2' color package [Comparison with Master Image].
