[AI Image Inspection Case] Terminal Inspection

We will conduct inspections of four terminal items using AI image inspection software!

One important aspect that wire harness manufacturers focus on is clearly distinguishing their products from similar ones. Therefore, it is necessary to inspect whether "the engraving is marked within the specified range." Other inspection items include checking for "the presence of a retainer and whether it is partially inserted," "whether the connector is dirty," and "whether the position from the taped wiring to the retainer is correct," all of which were visually inspected. However, inspecting each item visually has drawbacks, such as wasting time and lacking sufficient accuracy. As a result, we considered whether there was a way to inspect efficiently and accurately, leading us to try using image processing software. [Inspection Settings and Results] This time, we will inspect the following four items: (1) "Presence of engraving" (2) "Hair contamination" (3) "Red foreign objects" (4) "Partial insertion of the retainer"

(1)(2) used EasyInspector's "Defect Inspection" to specify the color "black" for the target defects and set it to be detectable. The "Hair Contamination" inspection in (2) was configured to not detect "black defects" outside the specified size range of the defects, allowing for the detection of elongated items.
