Customer use case: Performance enhancement of glass recycling equipment.
Introducing customer cases of Hardox wear-resistant steel plates that meet the harsh requirements of glass recycling plants!
One of the first recycling plants to adopt "Hardox Extreme" was a facility in Scotland. The SSAB technology development team closely collaborated with Hardox Wearparts Centre Stirling Ltd. in Stirling, Scotland, and the customer. As a result, this led to excellent outcomes that achieved both a reduction in recycling costs and an increase in lifespan. Furthermore, this project prompted trials in other severe wear zones within the facility, such as drop pockets in the impact zone.
