At Aqua World Ibaraki Prefecture Oarai Aquarium, we are composting the remnants of feed (such as fish heads and bones) given to the fish and marine mammals we keep using the commercial food waste processor Bio Clean. The Acidro(R) composting method of Bio Clean has been proven, through joint experiments with Oarai Aquarium, to be one of the few systems capable of stably decomposing fish remnants over a long period.
