We are composting the leftover food and cooking waste from school lunches.
Nishigo Village in Fukushima Prefecture is focusing on food education for children through local production for local consumption activities and participation in the "Delicious School Lunch Contest." To effectively utilize the leftovers from the approximately 2,000 school lunches prepared daily, they have introduced Bio Clean at the Fukushima Prefecture Nishigo Village School Lunch Center. Additionally, at the Hitachi City Southern School Lunch Joint Cooking Facility, they are composting the cooking leftovers and food waste from 9,800 students in local elementary and junior high schools. After a three-year demonstration project, the system was officially implemented, and currently, two 500 kg processing units are in operation. For more details, please contact us.
