[Case Study] Formaldehyde Gas Detector
This is a collection of case studies on formaldehyde gas detectors.
The ATI-made formaldehyde gas detector uses an electrochemical measurement principle. It is low-cost with a wide measurement range, capable of measuring gas concentrations from several dozen ppm up to a maximum of 2000 ppm. It allows for confirmation of gas concentrations during emission sources or decontamination. Calibration is performed domestically in Japan, and calibration can be done by sending only the sensor.
basic information
- Measurement method: Electrochemical sensor, diffusion type (fixed installation), suction type (portable) - Measurement range: Select from the following two types of sensor modules 0-20.0 to 0-200.0 ppm / 0-500 to 0-2000 ppm - Temperature/Humidity: -30 to 60°C, 10-95% RH (no condensation) - Power supply: DC 24V, AC 100V, AC 220V (fixed installation), rechargeable battery (portable) - Output: 4-20 mA (1 point) (fixed type), data logger (transferred to computer via USB) (portable type) - Alarm: No-voltage contact (3 points) (fixed type), alarm sound (3 points) (portable type)

Applications/Examples of results
- Concentration confirmation during decontamination (Max 2000ppm) - Research and experiments for confirming decontamination effects (As the resolution is 0.1ppm, it is not suitable for applications requiring safety confirmation below the management concentration.)
