SoliSense Suspended Particulate Matter Monitor
The SoliSense series is a suspended solids/turbidity meter with a wide measurement range using a single sensor.
The SoliSense series is a suspended solids/turbidity meter with a wide measurement range using a single sensor. It can measure turbidity and suspended solids across multiple measurement ranges with one sensor, from 2 NTU (1 mg/l) to 8% (*). (*) 8% is typical for urban wastewater slurry. This value varies depending on the optical characteristics of the sample. <Features> - Automatic cleaning optical sensor - Stability and reliability - excellent process control - Suitable for all drinking water, wastewater, and process water - Maintenance and calibration intervals of up to 12 months - Maximum pressure of 10 bar (10 atmospheres)
basic information
<Operating Principle> The sensor determines the concentration of suspended solids or turbidity in water by utilizing measurements of backscattered light. The SoliSense sensor employs lifetime-based optical technology, which has no moving or consumable parts, resulting in high stability, high precision, and low maintenance frequency. SoliSense can accurately and reliably measure the concentration of suspended solids and turbidity by automatically reading four different light intensities and using the gradation between the four values to produce sensor output. <Installation Method> SoliSense can be mounted at the tip of a pole for measurements in channels or tanks, in low-pressure/high-pressure flow cells, or installed in piping via valves. This allows for the storage and retrieval of the sensor without stopping the process. <Cleaning> To keep the sensor clean, SoliSense is equipped with a cleaning nozzle. Automatic cleaning is possible at set intervals.
