**Measurement Method** Continuous measurement of chloride is performed using an ion-selective electrode with a specific membrane that is selective for chloride ions. This membrane creates charge separation between the electrode surrounded by water and the internal filling solution. The charge is measured as a voltage and changes in response to concentration variations in the water adjacent to the membrane.
