Suzuki is planning to develop the multi-purpose electric cart "MITRA," which applies the technology of electric wheelchairs cultivated over the past 50 years, as a mobility platform for various robots. With front and rear suspension and independently controlled motors for the rear wheels, it boasts high driving performance and can operate outdoors and over obstacles. It can navigate cracked factory floors and inclines when entering buildings, as well as transport between buildings. So far, the multi-purpose electric cart "MITRA" has been utilized as a platform for various applications, including transport robots, automated delivery robots, snow removal robots, agricultural robots, and infrastructure inspection robots.
