I created a test piece and measured its dimensions!
I investigated the dimensional reproducibility of a large-scale light-based 3D printer! | System Create
"Mitarepo" is a series that introduces what can be done using various products with the concept of "I tried doing this!" From the wide range of product genres handled by System Create, we deliver useful information each time. In Vol. 96, we investigated the dimensional reproducibility of the large-format light curing machine "ProtoFab." The new "ProtoFab SLA-DLC series" light curing machine promises to achieve large size, high speed, and high quality! It automatically controls the laser output and spot diameter according to the model's shape, reproducing optimal surfaces and edges. How faithfully can the in-house machine "ProtoFab SLA600EX-DLC" reproduce in a 600×600mm build area? This time, we used the entire build area to create test pieces and examined the model's finish and dimensional accuracy! "Can a beautiful model be made with high-speed printing?" "Will the edges not be clean if the build area is large?" We will explain these points of concern along with the measurement values of the actual printed models. *You can download the materials from the button below.
