Our company has obtained the "Eco Action 21" certification system from the Ministry of the Environment. Businesses are required to engage in initiatives such as energy conservation, resource conservation, and waste reduction in all their business activities. Eco Action 21 is a guideline for continuously implementing the "PDCA cycle" of environmental activities: Plan (formulating plans), Do (execution), Check (confirming the status of initiatives), and Action (evaluation and review), and for publicly disclosing the results of these activities. We acquired the Eco Action 21 certification in its inaugural year of 2005 and have been working on reducing electricity, gas, waste, paper, gasoline, and diesel while undergoing annual audits. In particular, our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions include the early introduction of hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles, the installation of solar panels at our Saitama sales office, converting all lighting to LED, switching to energy-efficient air conditioning, and eliminating gas usage, all of which have been implemented concretely each year. As a result, our annual emissions are projected to be 10,581 kg CO2 (for the fiscal year 2021). Compared to the government's target for the fiscal year 2013, we have already achieved a reduction of 87% against the goal of 46% reduction by the fiscal year 2030. Please consider procuring electronic components from companies with low CO2 emissions.
