This technology is a water treatment method that serves as an alternative to the oxidation ditch method (OD method) through the use of "special fiber carriers" and "multi-layered reaction zones." By utilizing the existing civil structures of the OD method and significantly reducing the amount of excess sludge generated, it allows for the downsizing of sludge treatment facilities and equipment, thereby reducing lifecycle costs. The "special fiber carrier unit" can be manufactured to fit the dimensions of the water tank and can accommodate various shapes of reaction tanks.
