This device forms an intrinsically safe explosion-proof system in combination with an insulation barrier, allowing for use in specially hazardous locations (formerly classified as Type 0 hazardous areas). The insulation barrier is installed in a non-hazardous area, and power supply to the transmitter is also provided from a non-hazardous area.
