It can be used in processes such as promoting phase transitions and recrystallization, controlling grain growth (phase stabilization at high temperatures), densification sintering of ceramics and difficult-to-sinter materials, and energy control of surfaces and interfaces (surface stabilization under low oxygen conditions).
