[Information] A discussion on Dissolved Oxygen (DO)
In addition to manual analysis, there are methods for quantifying dissolved oxygen that utilize membrane electrode techniques and optical sensor methods.
Dissolved oxygen refers to the amount of oxygen (mg/L) that is dissolved in water. The amount that dissolves in water increases with lower water temperatures and higher pressures. Under conditions of 1 atmosphere and 25°C, it is estimated that about 8 mg/L (saturated dissolved oxygen amount) of oxygen can dissolve. This document provides detailed information about dissolved oxygen sensors, non-aqueous solvent electrodes, and other information related to dissolved oxygen. Please take a moment to read it.
