The "CI Series" is a manual impact testing machine that complies with JIS B 7722, JIS Z 2242, ASTM E23, and ASTM A370, used to determine the toughness and brittleness of metallic materials. The test specimen, as specified by the same standards, is supported at both ends, and an impact force is applied to the center to fracture it. The absorbed energy required for fracture is measured to calculate the Charpy impact value. Additionally, there are semi-automatic types that can perform a series of operations from lifting the hammer to releasing it with a single switch, as well as fully automatic types equipped with specimen cooling devices, specimen transport robots, and data processing units.
