OKESTRO operates in conjunction with CONTRABASS (VM infrastructure) and VIOLA (container infrastructure). CONTRABASS handles the creation and management of VMs, providing users with a VM infrastructure similar to VMWare. At the same time, it also serves as the foundation for VIOLA. VIOLA is built on top of the CONTRABASS VM, providing users with a container infrastructure. This enables the simultaneous provision of virtualization with different granularities for VMs and containers.

It utilizes the full functionality of Kubernetes and supports GUI-based operations from a proprietary web portal, making it accessible for users who are not familiar with Kubernetes.
