No. 168 Beck Smoothness Tester "DigiBeck Smoothness Tester"
This is a Beck smoothness testing machine compliant with JIS P 8119.
The smoothness of paper and similar materials is evaluated by the rate at which air leaks through the gap between the sample pressed against a smooth glass surface and its smooth surface.

■Reference Standards: JIS P 8119, ISO 5627, TAPPI T 479 There are two types of rubber plates to hold the sample according to the standards. You can choose either one. - Rubber hardness 48±5 IRHD (JIS P 8119) - Rubber hardness 40±5 IRHD (ISO 5627, JIS P 8119) ■Vacuum degree display: 0–55 kPa ■Achievable vacuum degree: 55 kPa ■Vacuum degree setting: 0.01 kPa There are two models: the main unit model DB-2 and the model DB-2P with a small printer. Please refer to the image. Note that the small printer cannot be attached to the main unit of model DB-2.
