[Logistics System Improvement Case] Shimohana Logistics Co., Ltd. Iwatsuki First Center
Achieved improved work efficiency through the reduction of forklift numbers, automation, and reallocation of personnel to other tasks!
We would like to introduce a case study on the implementation of "Key Cart" at Shimohana Logistics Co., Ltd. Iwatsuki First Center. At this center, product transportation between the receiving and sorting areas was conducted using forklifts; however, the long distance of approximately 150 meters resulted in inefficiencies in the transportation process. By achieving unmanned transportation, we were able to reduce the number of forklifts needed, leading to a decrease in running costs. [Key Points] - Reduction in the number of forklifts has led to labor savings and improved work efficiency by reallocating personnel to other tasks. - Eliminating lateral transportation tasks with forklifts has reduced the risk of accidents. - Automation of operations in low-temperature environments has eased the burden on workers. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
