We would like to introduce a case study on the implementation of the "Simple AGV Key Cart" at Daikin Industries, Ltd.'s Sakai Plant. Its low cost, the ability to easily set up travel routes using an Excel-based tool, the utilization of the spin turn function to minimize the travel area, and the capability for start/stop and coordinated control with carts via infrared communication were key factors in the decision to implement it. In addition to reducing the physical burden on workers through the automation of parts transportation, we achieved an improvement in production efficiency.
