What is the mechanism of a turbocharger?
An air pump that reuses the energy from engine exhaust gases that are emitted unnecessarily.
A turbocharger is a type of air pump that reuses the energy from engine exhaust gases that would normally be wasted. The exhaust gases first drive the turbine wheel assembly. This part is connected to the compressor wheel. As the connected compressor wheel rotates, it is possible to send a large amount of air into the engine's combustion chamber in a compressed state. Since the compressed air has increased density, it allows for more fuel to be injected, which is why a turbocharged engine can produce greater horsepower than a non-turbo engine of the same size. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
