【NEWS】India BIS | CRO Phase V mandatory items (digital cameras, video cameras, etc.) will be enforced starting October 1, 2021.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the additional Phase V mandatory items (wireless microphones, digital cameras, video cameras, webcams, smart speakers, Bluetooth speakers, and dimmers for LED products) will require registration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) before being exported or sold in India starting from October 1, 2021. This also includes cameras used in automobiles (such as dash cameras, rear cameras, distance cameras, and surround cameras). UL will provide testing and report issuance services through UL India, which is a BIS accredited testing laboratory.
