In recent years, many products have been equipped with Bluetooth® technology. Obtaining certification is essential for products to incorporate Bluetooth wireless technology and display the Bluetooth logo (figurative mark). However, Bluetooth logo certification involves a complex process that includes pre-compliance, advisory (technical consultation and information provision), interoperability checks, and regulatory compliance testing. ■ Features of UL JAPAN UL Japan has been accredited by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. as a Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility (BQTF) since 2002 and has over 10 years of experience in supporting logo certification acquisition. It is also one of the few testing laboratories that has a Bluetooth Qualification Consultant (BQC), who is a Bluetooth SIG certified expert. UL Japan is capable of supporting the latest Bluetooth standard, Bluetooth 5.1.

What is Bluetooth(R)? The communication standard is named "IEEE 802.15.1," and it is one of the wireless standards developed by Bluetooth SIG for short-range wireless communication, typically around several meters. In recent years, it has been widely incorporated into audio devices and mobile peripherals. What is Bluetooth SIG? BQC is an expert recognized by Bluetooth SIG and provides evaluation support for the product certification process in Bluetooth logo certification (SIG certification). UL Japan has members who were registered as former Bluetooth Qualification Experts (BQE) in 2012 and were registered as BQC in 2017 due to changes in the system.
