The PA690MCA adopts a clean look with white and light blue colors, making it suitable not only for healthcare but also for markets such as food processing and grocery sales. It features a large WVGA LCD display with a resolution of 480x800, allowing for the display of a wealth of information. It is equipped with a built-in 2D barcode reader and a 13.56MHz RFID reader. With built-in wireless LAN and Bluetooth, real-time operations are possible. It also includes a 5-megapixel camera that can capture the condition of products and send images on-site. The robust design is IP65 rated for dust and water resistance and can withstand drops from a height of 1.5 meters. The operating system is Windows Mobile 6.5, enabling application development in an open environment.

Unitech Japan Co., Ltd. will launch the industry's first high-output UHF RFID module, RM300. Orders are scheduled to begin on April 1, 2013. Starting from January 2013, the frequency band for UHF RFID will be transitioned and reorganized, leading to the development of devices such as handheld readers, fixed readers, and printers that utilize UHF RFID, with expectations for market expansion. UHF RFID devices are wireless equipment, and even if products are developed, it is necessary to obtain type certification from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications or construction design certification, which involves costs and time. The RM300 has already obtained construction design certification as a high-output module with 1W, so devices using this module do not need to obtain these certifications again or can do so easily. The RM300 supports and has obtained certification for frequency bands usable not only in Japan but also in the United States, Europe, China, and Taiwan (some are planned).
