The M749C-200SG is a compact digital TDR that allows for the measurement of the length of power and communication lines, as well as the distance to fault points, simply by connecting it to one end of the cable. With its built-in TDR, it measures and displays the length of the cable and the distance to faults such as open or short circuits (up to 2000m). This device displays cable length, distance to faults, and other descriptions on a 2×16 bit LCD screen using letters and Arabic numerals. The built-in library has common types of cables pre-registered, enabling accurate measurements without the need to input propagation speeds. Additionally, this device automatically compensates for the impedance of different cables. It also features a built-in sound oscillator that vibrates regularly, allowing for cable tracing and identification using standard tone probes.
