The MI1PAT-3000FNM is a super compact, high-precision digital thickness gauge. It not only measures the thickness of paint but also provides valuable information about the coating. If the measured thickness exceeds the standard paint coating thickness, it indicates the possible use of filler materials in repair work or that the area has been repainted. This thickness gauge is ideal for measuring the paint thickness of vehicles at automotive manufacturers, car dealerships, and repair shops. The measurements are made possible by using two methods for measuring coating thickness: electromagnetic and eddy current (DIN EN 2178 and 2360). Both methods provide the highest accuracy even when the thinnest paint coatings are applied to non-ferrous metals such as steel and aluminum. The MI1PAT-3000FNM automatically recognizes the base material.
