The responsiveness to wind speed fluctuations has dramatically improved, with a distance constant of 4.0m or less (compared to the conventional 8.0m).
- For wind speed detection, magnetic pulses are used, and for wind direction detection, a light encoder is adopted. The signal extraction is designed with a brushless structure, which excels in resistance to aging and ambient temperature effects. - The adoption of a brushless structure and the use of plastic for the propeller and body result in a low starting wind speed of 0.3 m/s, allowing measurements from light winds (0.4 m/s) to strong winds (70 m/s). - The responsiveness to wind speed fluctuations has dramatically improved, with a time constant of less than 4.0 m (compared to the conventional 8.0 m). - The transmitter outputs a linearized analog signal, allowing for direct connection to data loggers and recorders. - The main body weighs 3.2 kg, making it compact and lightweight (compared to the conventional model at 5.9 kg), and the mounting method is a plug-in type, which allows for easy attachment and detachment from steel pipe supports at high locations. (The traditional flange mounting method is also available as an option.)

The M9K-30-T serves as a transmitter for various wind direction and speed measurements, utilizing a propeller-type wind speed transmitter (magnetic pulse type) and an aircraft-type tail wing for the wind direction transmitter (optical encoder type). It converts the signals obtained into a linearized DC signal for instantaneous wind speed and direction using an IC circuit, and also converts the wind speed output for average wind speed into a square wave pulse output.
