The measurement time (load holding) can be set arbitrarily, enabling the measurement of soft workpieces that could not be measured with conventional hardness standards. By adopting a voice coil motor in the load generation mechanism, load settings can be adjusted according to the target workpiece. (※1) Since it is possible to set a low load starting from 0.002N, it allows for the measurement of soft workpieces that could not be measured conventionally. The stress relaxation time of the workpiece can be determined. Additionally, since the measurement time can also be set arbitrarily, it is possible to quantify the softness of gel-like materials that have no rebound force.
