The radiation balance meter MC8P-NET07D measures radiation balance in the near ultraviolet and far infrared wavelength ranges. The upper surface of the radiation balance meter detects solar radiation and long-wave radiation from the sky (clouds), while the lower surface detects solar radiation reflected from the ground (albedo) and long-wave radiation from the Earth, measuring the difference as the radiation balance.
