The M2980CM-426SHE condenses a true TDR measurement method, which was only possible with traditional large systems, into a compact sensor thanks to breakthrough technology. The small sensors referred to as traditional TDR methods actually employed simplified measurement techniques, but the M2980CM-426SHE measures true dielectric constant using a groundbreaking TDR method that is currently patent pending. In fact, waveform data can be obtained from this compact sensor. The M2980CM-426SHE is a standard model tailored for low power consumption and is compatible with many soil types. The M2980CM-426SNE has higher power consumption but is suitable for high-salinity soils. The M2980CM-421SWE is a model with a rod length of 10 cm, designed for spaces with restrictions, such as rock wool or cultivation pots. It can be directly connected to a data logger and, like TDT soil moisture sensors, is maintenance-free, allowing for long-term continuous observation. It can measure not only soil moisture (volumetric water content) but also conductivity (EC), temperature, and dielectric constant in the soil.
